The investigations division or more commonly called the detective bureau consists of six detectives. The investigation division is supervised by Captain Curt Hawkins. Currently, the six detectives combine for over 80 years of law enforcement experience. The detectives are assigned and investigate cases such as theft, fraud, burglary, armed robbery, criminal mischief and homicides. The entire detective bureau works together as a complete team to solve many cases.
Information provided by the community is a essential tool to the detectives when investigating cases. In past cases, community members have provided information that has resulted in the arrests and convictions of major felony crimes. The general public is always encouraged to call police with information.
